Classification of Pulp Molding Materials
Virgin Pulp Board Materials
Virgin pulp is crucial for manufacturing disposable tableware and high-grade industrial packaging. It includes chemical pulp, bio-enzyme pulp, and chlorine-free bleached chemical pulp, available from specialized mills. A blend of imported high-grade wood pulp, domestic wood pulp, and various short-fiber pulps is often used to balance cost and product specifications.
Chinese pulp mills, particularly those with an annual capacity over 100,000 tons, are equipped with pollution control systems, advocating a sustainable centralized pulping and decentralized production model. Single-use tableware pulp or board must comply with the GB 4806.8-2016 food safety standards, with bleached varieties being chlorine-free.
Waste Paper Materials
Waste paper is a versatile and economical resource for pulp molding industrial packaging, characterized by its broad availability and consistent supply. It’s an ideal candidate for post-treatment and reuse, given the widespread use of paper in various sectors.
Waste Paper Collection
Waste paper is collected through three main avenues: systematic gathering by waste collection companies, accumulation by individual collectors, and internal recycling within paper manufacturing factories.
Waste Paper Sorting
Sorting is a vital step in the recycling process, ensuring that waste paper is segregated and processed according to its type and intended use, with manual sorting often required for purity.
Waste Paper Classification
Classification is essential for the efficient management of waste paper, with different sources leading to variations in fiber types and properties. China’s industrial waste paper is categorized based on origin, collection channels, quality, and fiber types, including white waste paper, book and magazine waste paper, old newspapers, cardboard and paperboard waste, paper bag and kraft paper waste, and mixed waste paper.
